This article is about quality analysis of i-Insulin Project and the definition how does system works.
How does system work
The main goal of the project is helping the daily life of people who have a diabetes illness via management of insulin in their body. We are going to achieve this aim thanks to sensor, pump machine, AI technology and most importantly with doctors’ experiences.
Firstly, we get glycemia sensors from DEXCOM, Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) gives us the insights to better track and manage your diabetes. Dexcom has a simple Auto-Applicator: A one-touch applicator| easily inserts a small sensor just beneath the skin. Users insert a tiny sensor wire just under the skin using an automatic applicator. An adhesive patch holds the CGM sensor in place so it can measure glucose readings in interstitial fluid throughout the day and night.
Quality Analysis of Sensor and Transmitter
A slim sensor continuously measures glucose levels just beneath the skin and sends data wirelessly to a display device through a transmitter. A tiny, reusable transmitter connects to the sensor wire and sends real-time readings wirelessly to a receiver so you can view the information. With some systems, a with the can serve as the display device.
Display Device: A small touch screen receiver or compatible smart device displays real-time glucose data. The receiver or compatible smart device displays current glucose levels, as well as historical trends in levels. The Dexcom CGM receiver and/or compatible smart device can also be set to send you custom alerts when certain glucose thresholds are reached. After we get the data from the sensor. Secondly, we are going to use The Tubeless Omnipod DASH® Insulin pump to inject insulin into the human body. Omnipod DASH®, a Pod-based insulin management system to help those living with Type 1 and Type 2, keep diabetes where they want it in the background.
Omnipod is a wireless, waterproof, concealable alternative to traditional pumps that gives you the freedom to simplify every day with diabetes. The Pod can be worn almost anywhere you would inject and carries up to 3 days (72 hours) of insulin. Finally, we collect all data from sensors and use our AI algorithm and doctors’ feedback to make insulin injection into the human body automatically and uniquely for every patient.
